As an owner/manager/employee, there are already about one hundred items on your task list at any given time. Strong prioritization has to be in the works and ahead of the game. So why would you bother taking the time to get Google-Certified? Especially if there’s already a marketing department and you’re not in it? The answer is simple: the more you know, the more your company will grow.

The world of Google certifications allows you to think about your company’s main goals. If you want to focus on display ads that can pop up anywhere from YouTube videos to inside smartphone applications, then it may be best to start with Google Ads Display. If you really want to learn how to interpret all the data being accumulated, then Google Analytics is probably a better place to start. After the initial decision, your possibilities are endless.

Within each certification are different modules, and very few take more than 15 minutes. The Knowledge Checks at the end of each make sure you really know your stuff before moving on. This means that you will be more prepared to bring all your new knowledge back to you company!  It’s important to always pursue growth and learning, and this rings true personally and professionally. The more you grow as an individual, the more valuable you will be to your company.

So what does completing any one of these certifications actually mean for you as a professional?  Well, you will be more informed on ads, analytics, search advertising, shopping, etc. This means you will be able to help your company become more widely known, increase revenue, and be on the way to where your company wants to be! These certifications will help boost the tools your company already has and make your team that much more capable of reaching your goals. It will help you inspire creativity through ad design. You will ultimately save time by knowing how to use programs more efficiently. You and your team will become more responsible digital citizens. If these reasons alone aren’t enough to convince you, then this last one may be the ticket: Google Certifications are free! That’s right, there’s no charge to be able to say you are Google Certified! If pursuing growth is 100% free and will help both you and your company in the long run, then I think it’s worth it. Don’t you?
