As of June 30, 2012 (the end of the second quarter), professionals are signing up to join LinkedIn at a rate of approximately two new members per second.
As of August 2, 2012, LinkedIn operates the world’s largest professional network on the Internet with more than 175 million members in over 200 countries and territories.

LinkedIn is constantly growing and if your business is not involved, its time. Create a business page for your practice. Include as much information as possible and upload a cover photo. See our post here on the new cover photos for LinkedIn businesses.
Once your business page is created share with all of your personal connections. Encourage your connections to follow your business page on LinkedIn and let them know why. Also, share links to your new LinkedIn business page on all social media outlets, encouraging follows.
Then post and share links from your blog. Share informative and fun information that you believe your audience would benefit from. Also, share any inspirational stories or information unique to your business.
You can also share LinkedIn posts with your personal connections. This is a good tool to use when building the audience on your business page.
